-
Yes. Depending on the services you choose, I may need access to QuickBooks Online, financial records, payroll information, invoices, vendor documentation, and other sensitive business information. I take that access seriously and only request the information and permissions needed to perform the work we have agreed upon.
Client information is kept private and is only used for the purpose of providing the services you have hired me to perform. I do not ask clients to send passwords or sensitive login information through email.
-
Whenever possible, I use individual user access or accountant access provided directly through the service rather than asking for your personal login credentials. For QuickBooks Online, for example, you can invite me through QuickBooks as an accountant user, allowing me to access your books without giving me your personal password.
For systems that require remote computer access, I will use a reputable business remote-access service with security features such as encryption, multi-factor authentication, and access controls.
